The Emir of Rano, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, has called on the youths to avoid drug abuse, emphasizing its negative impact on health and future prospects.
The Emir made the remarks today, Wednesday, while receiving officials from the Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Orphans Youth and Qualitative Leaders Help Development Association at his palace.
“Our teeming youth must understand that drug abuse is not a welcome development. It destroys lives and health,” the Emir said.
The Emir commended the association’s efforts, particularly their focus on orphans’ education and self-reliance skills. “Educating these orphans and empowering them is a responsibility for all, and your association’s initiative is commendable,” he stated.
He urged the association to intensify their efforts in mobilizing youth against drug abuse, pledging his full support and cooperation.
Earlier, the association’s chairman, Malam Muhammad Auwal Abdulhamid Rano, briefed the Emir on their goals, highlighting drug abuse prevention and orphan assistance as key priorities.
