Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has conferred an honorary Doctor of Arts (D.A.) degree on the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
The honour was bestowed on April 25, 2026, in recognition of his contributions to society.
The conferment took place during the institution’s combined 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th convocation ceremonies, where the emir was celebrated alongside other distinguished personalities for their impacts in their respective fields.
